Brava bacon is great and ridiculously easy to make, but I still prefer the texture of pan fried bacon. I decided to duplicate that in Brava so I don’t keep making a giant grease splatter mess on the stove.
This recipe requires you to flip the bacon twice and takes 12 minutes from start to finish. I use Kirkland thick sliced bacon from Costco.
1. Start with a cold tray and lay out 5-6 strips of bacon across the tray, filling it without any bacon overlapping.
2. Put the tray on the bottom shelf and start the cook.
3. At each pause, remove the tray and flip the bacon in place. Put the tray back on the bottom shelf and continue cooking. **Be careful handling the tray on the second flip as there will be a lot of rendered fat by that point. But don’t pour the fat off, we want it on there to continue frying the bacon!
