Buttery garlic rice & juicy seasoned baked chicken thighs, baked together in the Chef's Pan with less than 10 minutes of prep!
Ingredients:
• 4 bone in chicken thigh fillets, peel skin off
• 1 onion, chopped (yellow)
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 2 tbsp butter
• 1 1/4 cups uncooked white rice (or basmati rice)
• 1 1/4 cups chicken broth, hot (1.5 min in microwave)
• 1 cup water, hot (tap is fine)
Chicken Rub:
• 1 tsp paprika powder
• 1 tsp dried thyme
• 1/2 tsp garlic powder
• 1/2 tsp onion powder
• 3/4 tsp salt
• Black pepper (to taste)
Optional Garnish:
• Finely chopped fresh parsley
Directions:
1. Scatter onion and garlic in the Chef's Pan, then place butter in the centre. Place uncovered Chef's Pan on the top shelf and press the green button.
2. Meanwhile, mix together Chicken Rub. Sprinkle on both sides of the chicken.
3. When prompted by Brava (about 7.5 minutes), remove the Chef's Pan. With Brava empty, close the door and press the green button to start rapid preheat. Add rice then mix using a wooden spoon. Then place chicken on the rice. Pour chicken broth and water around the chicken.
4. When prompted by Brava (about 3-5 minutes), place lid on the Chef's Pan, return covered Chef's Pan to the top shelf and press the green button.
5. When prompted by Brava (about 30 minutes), remove Chef's Pan and lid, return uncovered Chef's Pan to the top shelf and press the green button.
6. When prompted by Brava (about 25 minutes), remove Chef's Pan, set chicken aside, and fluff rice. Garnish with parsley (if desired), serve and enjoy!
