About this Recipe

This fun twist on an egg or toad in a hole comes to us from chef and friend, Brandi Milloy. Everything-seasoned bagels are topped with slices of havarti cheese and then a nest of prosciutto, which makes a kind of well for the eggs. Once cooked, enjoy with your favorite hot sauce and chopped fresh basil, if desired.

Ingredients

  • 1.0 tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 1.0 count everything seasoned bagel, sliced in half
  • 2.0 count thin slices Havarti cheese, or other sliced melty cheese, i.e. cheddar
  • 4.0 count slices prosciutto
  • 2.0 count eggs
  • Hot sauce and fresh basil for serving (optional)

Instructions

    Prep tray & assemble bagels

    • Spread softened butter across zones 1 and 2 of Brava Metal Tray.
    • Place bagel halves, cut side down, across zones 1 and 2 of Brava Metal Tray.
    • Top each bagel half with slice of havarti cheese.
    • Add two slices of prosciutto in the shape of a circle or nest on top of each slice of cheese.
    • Crack one egg into each nest.

    Cook bagels

    • Select “Egg In A Bagel” on Brava touchscreen and follow on-screen instructions to slide metal tray into bottom shelf.
    • Press green button to begin cooking.

    Finish & serve

    • When your food is done, transfer bagels to individual plates.
    • Top with hot sauce and chopped fresh basil, if desired.
