About this Recipe

Brava homemade croutons come together with just three simple ingredients: rustic bread, extra virgin olive oil, and kosher salt. Gussy these up with your favorite savory spices and seasonings if desired. Enjoy on soups, salads, or crushed up on pasta for an easy take on toasted breadcrumbs.

Ingredients

  • 5.0 cups cubed or torn rustic bread, such as sourdough or country loaf, about ½” pieces (about 8 oz bread)
  • 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • Few pinches of your favorite savory spice or seasoning (optional)
  • kosher salt and black pepper

Instructions

    Prep croutons

    • In mixing bowl, toss bread with olive oil, few generous pinches kosher salt, and additional spices, if using.
    • Arrange in a single layer on Brava Metal Tray.

    Cook croutons

    • Select “Homemade Croutons” on the Brava touchscreen and follow instructions to slide metal tray onto top shelf. Press green button to begin cooking.

    Finish & serve

    • When croutons are done cooking, taste and season with more kosher salt if needed, and few cracks fresh black pepper. Enjoy on salads, soups, or crush them up and enjoy on pasta for quick breadcrumbs.
