Sloppy Janes
Ingredients
- 1.5 cups chopped yellow onion (½-inch pieces) (about 1 medium onion)
- 3.0 cloves thinly sliced garlic
- 2.0 count cans (28 oz each) diced fire roasted tomatoes, drained
- 2.0 pounds ground beef, turkey or pork
- 1.0 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1.5 cups tomato sauce
- 0.6666666666666666 cups ketchup
- 0.3333333333333333 cups water
- 1.0 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1.0 teaspoons chili powder
- 1.5 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 0.5 teaspoons red pepper flakes
- 8.0 count hamburger buns
- Hot sauce and pickles, for serving (optional)
- Vegetable oil
- kosher salt and black pepper

Sear vegetables
- In Brava Chef’s Pan, mix together onion, garlic, 2 tablespoons vegetable oil and a pinch of salt and black pepper.
- Slide Chef’s Pan, uncovered, into top shelf.
- Press green button to begin cooking.
- Note: You will add additional ingredients after 5 minutes.

Add tomatoes
- Once Brava notifies you, carefully remove Chef’s Pan from Brava.
- Add tomatoes and a pinch of salt and black pepper; stir well.
- Return uncovered Chef's Pan to top shelf.
- Press green button to continue cooking.
- Note: You will add additional ingredients after 10 minutes.

Cook sloppy janes
- Once Brava notifies you, carefully remove Chef’s Pan from Brava.
- Add ground meat, tomato paste, tomato sauce, ketchup, water, brown sugar, chili powder, Worcestershire sauce, and red pepper flakes, stir gently.
- Slide Chef’s Pan, uncovered, into top shelf.
- Press green button continue cooking.

Garnish and serve
- Carefully remove Chef’s Pan from Brava.
- Serve on hamburger buns with hot sauce and pickles, if desired.
