What’s better than strawberry lemonade on a warm sunny day? Spiked Strawberry Lemonade! Roasting the strawberries in Brava concentrates their flavor and natural sweetness, which pairs perfectly with fresh-squeezed lemonade and vodka. Once roasted, Chef Erin mashes the strawberries with a potato masher to keep their texture. If you prefer a smoother drink, feel free to blend the strawberries after roasting instead. Make this recipe a mocktail and kid-friendly by simply omitting the vodka.
Ingredients
- 2.0 cups halved strawberries (about 16 strawberries)
- 1.0 cups granulated sugar
- 1.25 cups fresh lemon juice (about 6 lemons)
- optional: 1½ cups vodka

Roast strawberries
- Place strawberries, halved sides down, in Zones 1 and 2 of Brava glass tray.
- Slide glass tray into top shelf. Press green button to begin cooking.

Mash strawberries
- When Brava notifies you, carefully remove glass tray.
- Immediately transfer strawberries and their juices into medium bowl. Add sugar and mash using potato masher until smooth.

Make lemonade and serve
- To pitcher, add 6 cups of water, vodka (if using), lemon juice and strawberry mixture. Stir together.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour and serve over ice.
