Brava Crispy Battered Fish Sandwiches are golden brown and delicious. Simply dredge white fish in batter and press that green button to cook in the Brava. Once cooked, enjoy the battered fish in a sandwich with the works. Chef Andrew suggests slaw, pickles, mayo, and any of your favorite fixings. The battered fish can also be enjoyed alongside chips for a take on Fish and Chips if desired.

Ingredients

  • For the fish:
  • 1.0 count White fish filet
  • 0.6666666666666666 cups All-purpose flour
  • 0.6666666666666666 cups Water
  • Kosher Salt
  • 2.0 tablespoons White vinegar
  • 1.0 teaspoons Baking soda
  • 0.5 cups Cooking Oil
  • For the sandwich:
  • 1.0 count Brioche bread
  • Mayonnaise
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Pickle slices
  • Coleslaw Mix

Instructions

  1. 1

    Make batter

    • In medium bowl, stir together flour, water, and salt.
    • In small bowl, stir together baking soda and vinegar.
    • Combine baking soda mixture and flour mixture in medium bowl.

    Marinate fish

    • In medium bowl, marinate fish in batter.
    • Let fish marinate for at least 30 minutes, preferably 2 hours.

    Cook fish

    • Put ½ cup cooking oil in Brava square pan.
    • Place fish in square pan.
    • Slide square pan into top shelf.
    • Select “Crispy Battered Fish Sandwiches” on your Brava touchscreen and follow instructions.
    • Press green button to begin cooking.
    • Note: You will flip the fish after 5 minutes 20 seconds.

    Flip fish

    • Once Brava notifies you, carefully remove square pan.
    • Flip fish.
    • Slide square pan into top shelf.
    • Press green button to continue cooking.

    Finish, assemble sandwich, and serve

    • When your food is done, transfer fish to plate.
    • Serve fish on toasted sandwich bun or roll with desired toppings, such as mayonnaise, lettuce, pickles, and coleslaw.
